Here you will find a publication guide designed to highlight important aspects when developing a publication strategy to increase the potential for impact.
About the guide
LTH's research spans many different fields of technology, where publishing traditions can sometimes differ. For many, the emphasis is on peer-reviewed journal articles in English, but conference contributions, Swedish-language technical reports, artistic outputs, etc. may also be important for certain research groups. In addition, further means of communication may be required for research results to reach target groups outside academia.
The purpose of this guide is to highlight aspects that may be important when individual researchers or organizational units develop a publication strategy. Not all points will be relevant to all researchers at LTH, but they can serve as a starting point for collegial discussion about knowledge dissemination.
The overall objective is to make it easier for LTH researchers to publish and communicate their research results in the channels and forms that are deemed to provide the greatest reach and impact among intended target groups within and outside academia.
The guide has been developed by LTH's Research Board Working Group for research Quality.
How the guide is structured
The guide consists of different areas, each presented on its own subpage. You can either read the guide in its entirety or consult specific subtopics that are of particular interest to you.
Each subpage begins with concise information on a specific aspect of publishing and key considerations related to it. This is followed by the heading How?, which collects links to practical guidance and/or tips for further exploration.
