As a manager at LTH, HR support is available both at your department and at the faculty. Together, we at HR can provide you with support, guidance and operational assistance in human resources matters.

HR support at departmental level

Each department has its own HR administrative support. This could be an HR administrator or someone working on HR administrative issues. For example, HR administrators can help you with:

getting started with a recruitment,
employment of staff members from other countries,
introduction of new staff,
issues related to the payroll management system Primula and
finding the right support in HR.

HR support at faculty level

At faculty level, there is an HR department that works both operationally and strategically across the HR field. As a manager, you have an HR partner who can be your sounding board and assistance in matters relating to staff and operations. For example, HR can help you:

handle difficult conversations,
manage work environment matters,
deal with a staff member being on sick leave,
manage changes in the organisation,
plan staff departures and future recruitment.

The HR department at faculty level also helps you when you need to recruit teaching staff, conduct recruitment that is not handled at department level, deal with matters related to promotion, conduct salary reviews and carry out various activities related to the working environment. Recurring training courses and meetings are also offered for you as a manager.

If you are an HR administrator you can also receive support and guidance from the HR department on various issues.
