Recruit researcher

The title of researcher is used restrictively at LTH. You can read more about the applicable regulations and procedures for employing researchers below.

Where the title researcher is used, it is mainly for fixed-term contracts, which are limited to one year under the Employment Protection Act, LAS. In exceptional cases where it may be justified to employ researchers for an indefinite term, the approval of the Dean of LTH is required before the vacancy announcement is published. Employment with the title of researcher is not a teaching position and the employment is normally covered by the flexitime agreement for technical and administrative (TA) staff. If there is a need for qualified support in research activities, research-related titles should be used instead, for example research engineer. Contact your HR partner for advice.
