Information screens

There are eight information screens in the LTH foyers. These are used to provide ongoing information regarding current and future events. If you are arranging an event at LTH, you can use the screens as additional information channels.

The information screens are largely aimed at students and prospective students, although they also reach staff and anyone else moving about the premises.

Information screens display information in a similar manner to a PowerPoint presentation, meaning that informational images regarding various events are displayed in a rolling sequence. Information is displayed for a maximum of two consecutive weeks; although it can also be displayed for a shorter period.

Information screens are located in the foyers of the following buildings:

  • A-building
  • V-building
  • IKDC
  • E-building
  • M-building
  • KC
  • Kårhuset (Faculty administration)
  • Centre for Mathematical Sciences
  • Student Centre

Examples of activities/events that can be announced

  • Introductory week activities
  • Registration times
  • Study guidance
  • Seminars/open lectures
  • Cancelled courses
  • Opening hours
  • Career service, job fairs and student assignments
  • Exchange studies/scholarship calls
  • Dissertations
  • Conferences
  • Fire drills and renovations

Preparing displays for information screens

  • Font size should be 32 pt or larger
  • Avoid moving images
  • Keep it brief and only include the most important information such as date, time and venue
  • Make two versions (in Swedish and in English) if the information is of interest to international students and staff.
  • Save the image as JPG/JPEG in the following format:
    960 x 720 pixels (landscape)
    resolution: 72 px/cm
  • You can also use a PowerPoint template to help you create your image. When you are satisfied with your image, save it as a JPG/JPEG file. Download the template (PowerPoint, 120.4 kB)
  • Send the JPG/JPEG-file to: infoskarmar [at] kansli [dot] lth [dot] se (infoskarmar[at]kansli[dot]lth[dot]se)
  • Your email should state the period during which you wish to display the information and any other comments.

The information you submit will be displayed on the information screen in a specific news field that takes up most of the screen area.

Fault reports

If an information screen has stopped working or is broken, please submit a fault report to Service and Technology (SoT), preferably via email to LTH Support. You can also call by phone and select site-specific support using the pushbutton options.
