Purchase of Telephony and Accessories
Lund University has a joint central switchboard and a contracted supplier of telephone subscriptions, as well as several contracted suppliers of mobile phones. Below you will find a list of tips and things to bear in mind when purchasing telephony products and ordering telephony services.
Purchasing Procedure
The use of this switchboard and these agreements is obligatory; however, there are various levels of service bundles to choose from and the procedure for ordering telephony may vary depending on which department you work for.

Departments
If you work for a department of LTH, you should always contact whoever (if anyone) is responsible for telephony at your department with any questions regarding telephony or if you wish to place an order for telephony services. This individual will then contact the LU Service Desk to place an order.
If there is no such function at your department, you can contact the LU Service Desk (Staff pages) yourself with any questions or orders. You can order various telephony services – such as new extensions, mobile connections, cancellations of extensions or electronic locks – via their support website. Simply log in using your Lucat ID.
Always ensure that you obtain prior approval for purchases of landlines or mobile phones from your line manager or purchasing manager.
The LTH Faculty Office
Staff at the LTH Faculty Office should always contact LTH Support (Staff pages) for all requests regarding extensions, telephony, mobile phones and telephony services. LTH Support coordinate orders for mobile phones and orders to LU Service Desk.
