In the seminar, Edward A. Lee (Distinguished Professor Emeritus, UC Berkeley) will discuss whether all information can truly be captured in digital form. Drawing on examples from AI and robotics, he examines the limits of data-driven approaches and argues that some knowledge can only be gained through interaction with the physical world.
