Lise Meitner Seminar on Carin Boalt 14 October

Portrait of Carin Boalt. Photo.

It is 100 years since Lise Meitner was appointed professor of physics. To mark the occasion, LTH is dedicating this autumn’s seminar to Carin Boalt, Lund’s first female professor.

Johan Östling, Professor of History, will give a talk on the influential professor of Building Function Analysis, Carin Boalt, who became Lund’s first female professor in 1965 – though not at Lund University, as LTH was still independent at the time.

Per-Johan Dahl, Head of the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, will present the history of his department, and two new Lise Meitner professors will be introduced.
